Mortagne sur Gironde gives you plenty of possibilities: Beaches nearby, walk and bike paths, wine, pineau and cognac tastings, horseriding, walk with donkeys, boattrips to Pauilliac or the Phare de Corduan, sailing, fishing, tennis, golf. Big brocantes in the area every weekend in the summer. Every year more open air festivals take place around Mortagne. At the end of the day a good meal with fresh seafood in a typical french restaurant.

You can take a swim in front of the house by high tide,  the beaches start at Meschers, 15 km drive. The atlantic Ocean starts at Royan, 30 km drive.
